Sacramental Anointing

The Mystery of Holy Unction was served on Wednesday, March 28th, with nearly thirty people gathering to ask the Lord's healing and mercy through the sacramental anointing with Holy Oil.

The Church's practice of anointing with holy oil for the healing of soul and body dates back to Apostolic times, when St. James wrote, "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the presbyters (priests) of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord." (James 5:14)
