Blessed is he who always has before his eyes that "the earth is the Lord's and the fulness thereof" (Ps. 23:1), and keeps in mind that God is powerful to arrange for His servants as is pleasing to Him.

What is the Orthodox Church’s teaching on the cremation?
I do not understand in Genesis 27, where Jacob lies, deceiving Isaac, and steals the blessing of his brother. How is he favored by God?

Special Parish Meeting
Mission Chooses New Home - 11/04/07

On Sunday, November 4, 2007, a Special Parish Meeting was held at Christ the Savior Orthodox Church. The meeting was called to discuss the 2008 Budget and the future home of the Mission.

During the meeting the Parish decided unanimously to move the Church to Vines Creek in Dagsboro, Delaware, where another rental facility would serve as the Mission's home until such a time as land could be purchased and a permanent church be built.

The Vines Creek Professional Center, which will house the Mission, is centrally located on Route 26 between the northern and southern beaches and the major routes of Coastal Highway and Route 113. The new address of the Mission will be 30838 Vines Creek Road, Dagsboro, Delaware, 19939.

In addition to being closer to parishioner's homes, the new facility will also provide room to accommodate the Mission's growing congregation which has steadily risen since the founding of the Church in 2000.

For the time being, the Mission will continue to meet at 1400 Coastal Highway in Fenwick Island, Delaware. More information regarding the timing of the move will be forthcoming.
