Even if we have thousands of acts of great virtue to our credit, our confidence in being heard must be based on God's mercy and His love for men. Even if we stand at the very summit of virtue, it is by mercy that we shall be saved.

St. John Chrysostom

Beguiling and deceptive is the life of the world, fruitless its labor, perilous its delight, poor its riches, delusive its honors, inconstant, insignificant; and woe to those who hope in its seeming goods: because of this many die without repentance. Blessed and most blessed are those who depart from the world and its desires.

Pascha 2008

View Paschal Video!
Throughout Holy Week the faithful gathered at the liturgical services to be with the Lord during His voluntary sufferings, death on the Cross, and burial in the Tomb.

Then, following the Scriptural example of the Myrrhbearing Women, about 100 of the Lord's followers gathered together "early in the morning on the first day of the week" to witness to His resurrection from the dead.

We, the faithful of Christ the Savior Orthodox Church in Delmarva, great you all with the joyous exclamation, "Christ is risen!"
