Leave-taking of Samuel Oleynik
On Sunday, July 27, 2025, we bid farewell to Samuel Oleynik as he prepares to relocate to North Carolina. During his time at Christ the Savior, Samuel faithfully sang in the choir and served the parish in many ways. As a token of our gratitude and prayers, we presented him with an icon of St. Herman of Alaska—known as the North Star of Christ’s Holy Church in America—for by his holy example he shows us how to follow Christ with steadfastness and humility. We asked St. Herman’s intercessions that the Lord would continue to guide Samuel along the path of salvation. May God grant him health, strength, continued growth in every good thing, and many blessed years!
