Archpastoral Visit of Metropolitan Tikhon
for Patronal Feast, August 15-16, 2026

His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon will be making an archpastoral visit to Christ the Savior on the weekend of August 15-16, 2026 to celebrate our Patronal Feast of the Icon of Christ Not-Made-By-Hands. His Beatitude will join us for a Festive Lamb Roast on Saturday afternoon and will preside at the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy for our Patronal Feast on Sunday morning.

The weekend will begin on Friday, August 14, with lamb preparation at 4:00pm and Great Vespers with Litiya at 7:00pm. On Saturday, August 15, the Feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos, we will celebrate Divine Liturgy at 9:00am with the traditional blessing of flowers.

Following the Liturgy, the CTS Men's Group will oversee the roasting of the lambs from 11:00am until the Festive Lamb Roast with Metropolitan Tikhon at 3:30pm. Everyone is invited to join us as we celebrate both the Dormition and our Parish Feast. Volunteers are needed to help with preparation on Friday and roasting on Saturday. Great Vespers with Litiya will follow at 6:00pm Saturday evening.

On Sunday, August 16, we will celebrate our Patronal Feast of the Icon of Christ Not-Made-By-Hands. Everyone is asked to gather in the church by 8:30am so that we can welcome His Beatitude properly. The greeting of the Metropolitan and the Hours will begin at 8:40am, followed by the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at 9:00am. At the conclusion of the Liturgy, we will process to the archway, take our parish photo, and then gather for a festive luncheon.
